I made this yesterday. It was delicious! I followed the OP instructions and added the pepperocini peppers. Thanks for the great, easy recipe! Perfect to cook during a snowing day in Indiana!

Did I miss the meatloaf recipe somewhere? I'd try that too!

Made it today, and I must say it is dee-lish! I'm not much of a beef-eater, but I couldn't stop "tasting" it once it was all stirred together and broken down. Ray gave it 4 out of 5 stars, and asked that I never make roast beef the old way again. I used half the ranch packet, half the au jus AND unsalted butter and it was still so good. Thanks, OP; will definitely use the crock pot method for lots more meals!

Made ours this weekend. We had a 2 1/2 pound round tip roast. Added the ranch mix and au jus mix.Then layered one sliced medium sweet onion and two cloves of sliced garlic on top. Topped it all off with the butter and waited ever so patiently for 8 hours. At the 7 hour mark, we did turn the roast over, but that was really not necessary. What an amazing flavor! Will never have a roast any other way again! Clapping smiley Clapping smiley

I tried this last week. I left out peppers because I forgot to buy them. Very good. Thanks for sharing. So easy.

Had the Butter Roast today. We could not find the au juis, so we used beef onion soup mix, put the little pepperchinis on top with the ranch dressing and butter and it was very very good...2 thumbs up from me and hubby. It had a great taste was tender and cooked to perfection, 8 hours on low. When we make it again we will add some veggies in the broth, potatoes and carrots and celery most likely. Had it today with mashed potatoes and green beans. Thumbs up Thumbs up

Sounds similiar to a roast I make with dry onion soup mix and cream of mushroom soup. Salt and pepper the roast, add the dry mix, soup and good to go!

Making this today and serving with roasted winter root vegetables. I make pot roast in the crock pot or roaster oven all the time, usually with carrots, onions and potatoes. We love it, so tender! This recipe is a little different since it calls for the dry ingredients, pepperocini and butter.

Made this tonight. I don't eat meat but my daughter said it was delicious- she said it was moist and delicious not dry and chewy like usual...lol

Bought everything tonight. The Au Jus was by the dry chili seasoning packets at my store. Can't wait till tomorrow. I usually do a frozen roast with a packet of onion soup or packet of Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix. No water. Can't wait to see which roast the family likes!!! Thanks for the recipe!!!!

This was wonderful! I mixed some corn starch and water to the juices afterwards and served over the noodles. Great recipe! Only problem. I bought my roast at Giant Eagle for $5.99 a pound. Next day, stopped in Bottom Dollar - $2.78 a pound for the chuck roast! Oh well. I bought a couple roasts to be ready for next time I make this!

Working from 11-6 today so it is the perfect day to try this. I think some mushrooms might be a nice substitute for the peppers to avoid a trip to the grocery store. The rice and green beans are already cooked and I have some hard rolls so I should have a meal on the table shortly after I walk in the door. My husband loves this kind of meal and I need to use the crockpot a lot more than I do. Review will follow after we eat tonight.

I am making mine with a venison roast. Already in the crock pot! Banana
