Thought the same thing when I saw the photo of the so called "tomato pie" from Duck.
They had a heated debate on a local Philly radio station recently if tomato pie is actually considered pizza. If you even have to ask, you shouldn't have an opinion.
I think its just semantics and geography. Different versions of something with the same name. Like the "sauce vs gravy" debate for tomato sauce, ( I married Italian, they call it gravy, I call it sauce lol) Or a "grinder vs hoagie/sub", "pork roll or Taylor Ham" or calling all sodas (or Pepsi) a "Coke". Them's fightin' words in my neck of the woods. Coke?! This is Pepsi country!
